BRASILIA, Reuters – Brazil’s government is yet to decide on a salary hike for its public servants in the current year. Esteves Colnago (Special Treasury and Budget Secretary) said that a 5% increase across the board would be one option.
Colnago stated that the automatic adjustment of minimum wages to account for inflation should be considered more closely during a press conference. He said that the Congress should make the final decision on this matter.
