Indian Minister wants crypto regulations to curb money laundering In her speech to the International Monetary Fund, Nirmala Sitharaman, Indian Finance Minister called for a global framework for cryptocurrency to prevent illicit use.
Sithraman’s comments came during the “Money at a Crossroad” panel discussion of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Bank in Washington on Monday. Kristalina Georgieva (managing director of IMF), Roberto Campos Neto (president of Central Bank of Brazil) and Ravi Menon (managing director of Monetary Authority of Singapore) were also part of the panel discussion.
