LONDON (Reuters] – Britain’s Prince Harry stated that he was careful to ensure Queen Elizabeth had “the right people around her” during a rare trip to Europe last week.

Harry and Meghan, his wife, met the queen at Windsor Castle after their first visit to Britain since they quit royal duties in March 2020. This was after the explosive interview that the couple gave to Oprah Winfrey last January shocked the royal family.

Harry spoke out during an interview given by a co-anchor on Today, NBC’s morning program, and was speaking to Harry about being with his wife, who is undergoing the Invictus Games at the Hague.

He said, “I am just making sure she’s protected and has the right people around.” “You know, home — home for me, now, is …for the time being, in the States.”

Harry and Meghan live with their two children in California. Harry was able to return to Britain to attend his grandfather’s funeral one year ago. However, he couldn’t make it to the recent memorial service because of a security dispute with the government.

After spending a night at hospital in October with an unknown illness, the queen has mostly stepped back from the spotlight. Doctors then instructed her to go home.

In February, she was tested for COVID and described having mild symptoms resembling a cold.

While meeting online with officials and diplomats continues, she’s missed many large events including the Remembrance Sunday service and Easter service.

He stated, “It’s so wonderful to see her,” “She is in top form.

“She has always shared a wonderful sense of humor.”
