(Reuters) – The protest by the United States and Canada regarding Russia’s attendance at a meeting with finance officials representing the 20 largest economies in the world did not distract the meeting from its goal of finding common ground for addressing headwinds facing global growth.

Sri Mulyani, Indonesia’s Finance Minister, presided over the meeting. He said that the protest at the Group of 20 central bankers and finance ministers meeting was “not surprising” and did not disrupt the larger discussion.

Indrawati, speaking at a post-meeting press conference said that she was certain this wouldn’t affect the cooperation or importance of G20 Forum.
