PARIS (Reuters) – Gucci owner Kering (EPA:) Thursday’s sales increased 21% over the previous quarter. This was due to strong demand for high-end clothing labels from the U.S., Europe and Japan. It also helped to offset the disruptions in China caused by COVID-19 lockdowns.

The March quarter sales were 4.96 billion euro, which is slightly higher than the 4.89 billion forecast by Citi analyst Thomas Chauvet. Thomas Chauvet tops Refinitiv Eikon’s ranking for Kering estimates for accuracy.
