(Reuters) – On Thursday, a federal judge temporarily blocked Kentucky officials’ efforts to enforce a new law on abortion. The plan by Planned Parenthood stated that it would require abortion clinics not to offer the procedure until they meet specific requirements.
U.S. District Judge Rebecca Grady Jennings issued a temporary order in Louisville at Planned Parenthood’s request, one week after the Republican led legislature overroded a Democratic governor’s veto to make the law effective.
