UK and Canada walk out of IMF meeting as Russia speaks -Breaking

LONDON (Reuters] – British Finance Minister Rishi Sunak and Canadian counterpart Chrystia Freedomland walked off the International Monetary Fund Washington meeting on Thursday, when Russia’s delegate had spoken. A spokesperson for Britain’s finance ministry said.
“(Sunak) described Putin’s assault on Ukraine as an assault on the rules and norms that are the foundation of our economic way of life,” the spokesperson said.
On Thursday, Britain increased trade sanctions against Russia. It targeted luxury goods like caviar and silver, as well as diamonds. The move was in response to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
