Investing.com — Match Group Inc Stock is up on Friday after Lauren Schenk, a Morgan Stanley analyst said that recent weakness was overdone.

An analyst wrote in a note saying that they have been “buyers due to recent weakness, as we believe 1Q & macro fears are overblown.”

Netflix’s (NASDAQ:) recent decline was due to the Netflix read-through, increasing Covid cases in Asia and mixed first-quarter data reads from third parties relating app downloads.

The stock being at $77 they think a 1Q missed and full year revenue guide down is possible. But, this price is better than expected.

Schenk stated, “Bottom line: we believe the risk/reward ratio from here skews negatively into the print given significantly less negative sentiment and crowded positioning and would being buyers of the drawback.”

Match Group shares traded 4% higher on Friday.
