French election turnout at 26.41% at 1200 CET, down on 2017 -Breaking

It was slightly lower than it was in 2017, at 28.23%. But it was still higher than it had been two weeks earlier, at 25.48%. According to analysts, a low turnout can increase uncertainty around the final results.
Voting began at 8 AM and ends at 8 PM. First projections of the results will be made at 8 PM.
