(Reuters) – Two people familiar with the matter say that Trump, the former president of the United States is weighing whether to allocate money and who to pay for Republican candidates in this election. This comes as he’s under increasing pressure to increase his war cash to aid Republicans win control over Congress.

Trump’s Save America Leadership Political Action Committee has grown to be a formidable fundraising machine since it was established in November 2020. It amassed some $112.5 mil in cash and spent just $17m to pay for rallies or promote Republicans according to federal filings.

Campaign finance experts have raised concerns about Save America’s restricted spending. Political observers believe it could indicate that Trump is saving money for his presidential bid in 2024.

According to two sources, Trump’s senior advisors are currently preparing support proposals for the candidates who will be running in the general election of November.

Trump should make a decision before May mid-May.

Some details, including the expected timeframe for the midterm budget plan, have never been reported before.

According to sources, these proposals would include providing support staff for candidates and spending estimates. Sources did not have details regarding the sum of money in question.

Sources told Reuters that advisers debate whether to focus on a handful of races in which money and staff could tip the balances towards victory, or spread funds across more races.

According to sources, Trump will be the one to make all the decisions. He will also spend money on his campaign to destroy Republicans like Liz Cheney.

According to sources, Trump feels pressured by his supporters to raise more funds and resources for candidates. This comes amid Republican dissatisfaction at the lack of action.

They also noted Trump’s willingness to allow candidates to hold fundraisers at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, and his endorsement of local candidates and fundraising.

PLAN FINAL

Trump will be finalizing a spending plan shortly after the key Republican Nominating Contests of early and mid May for Senate Candidates in Ohio, Pennsylvania. Trump has previously supported candidate who were not likely to win nominations.

I think that they are under greater pressure to spend money. Trump must use his resources if he wants credit for retaking the Senate and House. Dan Eberhart, Republican donor, said, “If he doesn’t, he’ll be blamed because we didn’t take more seats.”

Despite deep dissatisfaction from Americans about Biden’s handling of inflation, Republicans are the most likely to take control of both the House of Representatives as well as the Senate.

Taylor Budowich, Trump’s spokesperson said that he doesn’t comment on strategy and campaign spending.

According to a Reuters analysis, Trump’s Save America has been one of the most prominent Republican fundraising groups ahead of the Nov. 8, 2008 elections. However, it has so far been very conservative in its spending compared with other groups.

Trump has already endorsed more 100 candidates in state and federal elections. Trump is seeking revenge against incumbent Republicans for his actions.

Georgia will see the first test of this strategy, as Trump has supported former U.S. Presidents. On May 24, Republican Governor-Elect David Perdue faced Senator Perdue. Perdue will take on Governor Brian Kemp. Perdue has been lagging in polls. Trump was furious when Kemp certified 2020 election results showing President Joe Biden defeating him in his state.

Save America spent $500,000 on Perdue’s PAC in March. This was its first major expenditure for a 2022 candidate according to most of the latest filings.
