France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 2.01% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The Paris closing bell saw the index fall 1.85% and the market fell 2.01%.

Engie SA (EPA) was the top performer for the session. It rose by 2.96%, or 0.33 point to trade at 11.56 after the close. Eurofins Scientific SE – EPA: added 2.18%, or 1.94 point to trade at 91.12. Danone Late trade saw SA (EPA:), rise 1.74%, or 0.96 points, to 56.18

ArcelorMittal SA, which lost 8.84% (or 2.61 points) to trade at 26,92 by the end of the session was the worst performer. Kering SA (EPA) fell 4.35%, or 23.00 point to reach 506.20. TotalEnergies SE was down 4.01%, or 1.84 to 44.03.

Top performers in the SBF 120 competition were Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA) rose 9.50% at 42.08; Electricite de France SA was up 3.63% at 9.03, and Engie SA(EPA:), which gained 2.96% at close at 11.56.

For June delivery, Gold Futures fell 1.87% (or 36.25) to $1.898.05 an troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which fell 5.00%, 5.10, and $96.97 each barrel for June delivery. Meanwhile, the July Brent Oil contract was down 5.07%, 5.38, and trades at $100.77 per bar.

EUR/USD dropped 0.73% at 1.07 and EUR/GBP remained unchanged at 0.14.

At 101.72, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.51%.
