GM to launch electrified version of Corvette sports car by next year -Breaking

(Reuters] – General Motors Co. (NYSE:) President Mark Reuss announced Monday that General Motors would soon launch an electrified Corvette sportscar.

Reuss stated on LinkedIn that the company would launch an electrified Corvette. This will then be followed by an all electric version with GM’s Ultium technology.

GM’s Corvette, which has been traditionally fitted with petrol engines is trying to catch up to other contenders in this space. Ferrari NV (NYSE:) Offers gasoline-electric hybrid and turbocharged engine options.
