Elon Musk, SpaceX CEO and Tesla (NASDAQ:), offered to purchase social media company Twitter earlier this month. In response to the news, a new memecoin appeared called ‘ELON BUYS TWITTER’ (EBT). CoinMarketCap also reported that EBT’s 24-hour spike of 4259.0% to $0.000003554 was evident at time of writing.

The memecoin was also attractive to people who are looking for quick profits. The so-called EBT team has Elon Musk photos on their profile photo on the website.

The token creators also claim that the “ELON BUYS Twitter” aims to provide meme creators with a way to make and receive a set amount of revenue. The token also positions itself to be a way for creators of memes to achieve financial freedom.

According to their website:

The ELON TWITTER program will allow these aspiring meme makers to show their creativity to the rest of the world, and also provide some financial support. ELON TWITTER is currently developing several income-generating platforms.

Surprisingly, however, the developers are not clear on how they will do it.

Experts believe the token is a complex pump-and-dump scheme. Investors should avoid investing in these meme coins on any decentralized exchanges (DEX).

On the other hand, after Elon Musk purchased Twitter, more Dogecoin fans threw their own ideas on what cryptocurrency-related changes will take place.

Notably, Musk’s spontaneous nature to take over Twitter himself makes it difficult to foresee what happens next.
