(Reuters] -PepsiCo Inc raised Tuesday its full revenue forecast due to rising prices and a recovery in soda demand at theatres and restaurants.

Due to global supply chain disruptions caused by pandemics, companies are facing higher prices for everything. This has forced the packaging food industry to increase product prices. PepsiCo said that prices could rise later this year if cost increases exceed expectations, however analysts and companies like arch-rival Coca-Cola, (NYSE:) Co have stated that the demand for packaged food will slow down as there is no indication of inflation cooling.

According to the company, it also took $241 million in charges for property, plant, and equipment impairment as well as inventories write-downs due the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

According to the company, it expects that fiscal 2022’s organic revenue will rise by 8% compared to its previous forecast of a 6% growth.

Pepsico (NASDAQ)’s net revenues rose 9.3%, to $16.20billion in the quarter that ended March 19, surpassing analysts’ expectations of $15.54billion according to IBES data provided by Refinitiv.
