Biden to visit Lockheed plant producing weapons provided to Ukraine

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden is scheduled to travel to Alabama Tuesday in order to meet with a Lockheed Martin According to the White House, Corp (NYSE:), a facility for manufacturing weapons is being supplied to Ukraine.
Washington has said it has committed around $3.7 million in security aid to Ukraine, since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2014. Washington, along with its European allies has given Ukraine drones, Howitzer heavy armory, anti-aircraft Stinger, and Javelin missiles.
Lockheed Martin is the number one weapons manufacturer in America. The No. 1 U.S. weapon maker said that the Ukraine war had increased demand for missile defense system. Together with Raytheon Technologies, U.S. weapon maker Raytheon Technologies (NYSE): the company created and produced Javelin antitank missiles.
The White House announced that Biden visited the Lockheed facility in Alabama on May 3. It stated that Ukraine is using the weapons made there to protect itself against Russian invasion.
