DETROIT – Ford MotorThe company is scheduled to release its first-quarter results on Wednesday after the bell.

- Adjusted EPS:Based on consensus estimates from Refinitiv, it is 37 cents
- Auto revenueAccording to consensus estimates by Refinitiv, $31.13 Billion
Ford’s performance comes a day after that of its rival crosstown. General MotorsWall Street’s expectations for earnings easily exceeded GM. GM surprised analystsBy maintaining the adjusted pretax profit guidance for $13 billion to $15 billion for 2022, despite a litany of supply chain issues and increased costs. These two factors put tremendous pressure on Ford’s performance.
Evercore ISI sent a note last week to investors stating that Ford is likely to reduce its outlook in 2022 because of the increasing number of issues facing it. It also mentioned the exposure of Ford to European supply chain issues due to Russia’s war in Ukraine, and the higher cost aluminum for its F-Series pickups.
Early March Ford reaffirmed its expectations of a pretax profit between $11.5 billion and $12.5 billion for the year. Analysts say that the supply chain has become more complicated over time.
