(Reuters) – According to a source familiar with the proceedings, a court in Myanmar’s military-ruled Myanmar convicted Aung San Suu Kyi of corruption on Wednesday and sentenced her for five years imprisonment.
This was just one of eleven corruption cases against Nobel laureate. Each case carries a maximum of 15 years imprisonment. Due to the secrecy of her trial, she could not be identified.
