Biden to hold summit with incoming S.Korean president on May 21

SEOUL (Reuters). – U.S. President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit South Korea between May 20 and May 22, where he will meet with Yoon Suk-yeol, the newly elected President of South Korea. The meeting was reported by Yonhap news agency on Thursday.

Yoon welcomed Biden’s visit to the country, where they will discuss their respective alliance, North Korea, and other international issues. His spokesperson Bae Hiun-jin stated in a statement that Yoon had received Biden’s invitation.

Bae explained that “(The Summit) will serve as an historic turning point for further developing the bilateral comprehensive strategic alliance.”
