Colgate-Palmolive posted earnings per share $0.74 on revenue $4.4B. Investing.com polled analysts to predict EPS of $0.7455 based on $4.4B revenue.
Colgate Palmolive shares fell 4% over the first of the year but are still below 5.13% of its 52-week high of $85.61 (January 6). They are outperforming the S&P Global 100 which is down 10.1% from the start of the year.
Colgate-Palmolive is following other Consumer Staples industry earnings this month
Colgate-Palmolive’s report follows an earnings beat by Procter&Gamble on April 20, who reported EPS of $1.33 on revenue of $19.38B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.29 on revenue of $18.71B.
Coca-Cola beat all expectations Monday, posting a $0.64 EPS on $10.49B in revenue. This compares to the $0.5792 forecasted for revenue of $9.83B and EPS at $0.5792.
