Berkshire HathawayThe pregame for shareholder meetings is an extravagant affair.
This weekend, thousands of Berkshire shareholders packed Omaha, Nebraska for Saturday’s annual meeting. Previous hearing from Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger, investors gathered in a sprawling convention center to explore exhibits featuring the conglomerate’s holdings — from toy trains mimicking BNSF Railway rolling stock, Berkshire chocolate coins from See’s Candies to Buffett-branded Brooks athleisure.
At the Oracle of Omaha, there is an annual tradition known as “Berkshire Bazaar of Bargains.” Participants with a shareholder credential are eligible to shop at a discounted rate in the CHI Health Center.
CNBC will be hosting the exclusive livestream of the shareholder meeting on Saturday starting at 9:45 am ET.

See’s Candies sweets attracted many people to the “Woodstock for Capitalist” event. Buffett’s favourite, chocolate walnut fudge and Berkshire chocolate coins were the two big hits of today.

Geico’s iconic advertising gecko was on hand to entertain shareholders. Buffett purchased shares of the auto insurer for the first time in 1996.

Brooks had a booth where they sold T-shirts, socks and sneakers branded by Buffett. On Sunday, the sportswear company will co-host a 5K run in downtown Omaha with Berkshire.

At the event, shareholders could purchase a boat by Jimmy Buffett for almost $200,000 with a 10% discount. After 14 months spent developing the boats with Buffett, Berkshire subsidiary Forest River is now producing them.
BNSF Railway Model
The BNSF Railway was represented at the Berkshire-Hathaway Annual Shareholder Meeting.
