HSBC’s top shareholder calls for banking giant’s break-up

According to the report, Ping An had laid out its plans for a HSBC board breakup, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Two sources report that the insurer holds 9.2% stake in HSBC. According to data by Refinitiv, the insurer owned 8.23% in the banking company as of Feb. 11.
