(Reuters) – Tesla (NASDAQ) has recalled approximately 48,000 Model 3 Performance cars in the United States due to the possibility that they might not show the speedometer when in Track Mode, according to documents published Friday.

It covers all models from 2018 to 2022. The issue will be addressed by Tesla through an over the air software upgrade. Tesla claimed that a December firmware update had accidentally removed the speed units from the user interface.
