OMAHA, Neb. (Reuters) – Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc (NYSE:) Inc hosts its highly-anticipated annual shareholder meetings in person this Saturday. Here shareholders can quiz Buffett on anything from corporate governance to potential new investments, and Buffett’s thoughts on the economy.

Buffett, the 91-year-old chairman and chief executive officers of Berkshire, as well as Vice Chairman Charlie Munger (98) will respond to shareholder questions over a period of approximately five hours at Omaha’s meeting. Ajit Jain and Greg Abel (Vice Chairmen), will join them.

This meeting could address recent investments, an ever-growing cash pile, share purchasebacks and rising inflation. It may also discuss whether Buffett should be the chairman.

Some investors have begun to increase pressure on the conglomerate, which spans businesses including insurance-to-energy-to-candy. Calpers and other investors, America’s largest public pension fund, are asking Berkshire to replace Buffett and provide independent chairs. They also want Berkshire to disclose the ways its many businesses support diversity, address climate risk, and mitigate greenhouse gasses. Buffett would still be the chief executive.

These may still not be able to succeed until Buffett steps down.

Many shareholders are present for much more than the annual meeting.

The three-day event will include a run of 5 km (3.11 miles), shareholder shopping by dozens Berkshire businesses at downtown CHI Health Center, where the meeting is held, as well as several private investing conferences.

Berkshire expects attendance to be significantly lower than recent meeting’s 40,000 attendees. Many of these people are from abroad. Omaha gained $21.3million from the 2019 meeting. This was before the pandemic.

The meeting will be broadcast online at cnbc.com https://www.cnbc.com/brklive22. Berkshire https://www.berkshirehathaway.com first webcast meetings in 2016.
