FRANKFURT – The chief executive Fritz Joussen of TUI said that the holiday group had booked 1.3 million vacations within the past week. Fritz Joussen was referring to a sustained recovery following the pandemic.

In March, 8.9 Million bookings were reported by the largest vacation company in the world for the time period from winter to spring this year. This is a rise that was comparable to the pre-pandemic peak.

Joussen wrote that two trends were obvious to him. First, bookings have become significantly more costly and can be made much faster. This will increase turnover, margins, as well as profitability.

TUI stated earlier in the year that summer vacation bookings had reached pre-COVID levels due to pent up demand. There has been a steady recovery since testing restrictions were removed.
