Cannon-Brookes seeks 11.5% stake in Australia’s AGL

© Reuters. MELBOURNE (Reuters). Almost two months ago, Australia’s leading power producer declined a deal from Grok Ventures for A$5.4billion and Brookfield Asset Management in a bid to acquire 11.5% of AGL Energy.
According to JPMorgan’s Equity Capital and Derivatives Markets division, “Grok Ventures” and affiliates were looking to purchase a combined economic and physical interest of up to 11.5% AGL Energy Limited shares in a strategic derivative transaction,” Reuters read.
