Europe Prefers SHIP over DOGE

Meme coins (DOGE/SHIB) appear to be dominant on different continents. Although DOGE is most searched for in the United States of America, Europeans tend to look up Shiba Inu more frequently.

According to an AskGamblers study, SHIB (the so-called Dogecoin Killer) was the most popular cryptocurrency on the continent.

It has been the most searched crypto in 10 European countries and experienced significant popularity growth over the last 12 months. It is currently the most searched for cryptocurrency in Google (NASDAQ) searches across the UK, France and Spain.

According to the survey which looked at the most common cryptocurrency searches in Europe it was also discovered that Bitcoin remains Europe’s most-searched digital asset. In 19 other countries, Bitcoin is the most commonly searched cryptocurrency.

ETH was ranked as Europe’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market value. It was, however, the most-searched coin in Sweden (Lettuce, Slovakia and Slovenia).

The Netherlands and Bulgaria were the two most popular European countries to google (ADA). Dogecoin (DOGE) was more popular than any other cryptocurrency, with Albania and Greece being the most interested.

DOGE Leads the US

However, things are different on the Atlantic side. Coin Insider’s April study revealed that DOGE is the most popular crypto in use by Americans.

The data shows that Dogecoin is the most searched crypto in 23 US states. This includes Arizona, North Dakota and Montana as well as Illinois, Florida. Hawaii. New Mexico. New Jersey. Simultaneously, the Dogecoin killer SHIB was left behind. It only ranked 7th in search cryptocurrency, among them California, Nevada Texas, New York and North Carolina.

According to researchers, Dogecoin’s popularity in the United States is mostly related to Elon Musk’s influence and endorsement. Tesla CEO (NASDAQ:), previously hinted that Starlink and the electric car maker will accept Dogecoin payments. After naming DOGE the strongest cryptocurrency to pay for payments, he was named Dogefather.

Following Elon Musk’s plans to purchase 100 percent of Twitter (NYSE.:) shares, DOGE, the original memecoin, came back into focus. Musk suggested that Dogecoin could be used as a payment currency for subscriptions to Twitter.
