OAKLAND (Calif.) – Alphabet’s Google (NASDAQ:) Inc announced Monday that it will offer all U.S. businesses over $100,000 free online training in data analysis, design, and other technical skills to their employees.

Google Career Certificates is expanding its reach with this offer. This program, which was created by Google in 2018, aims to boost resumes and help users learn new tools at their own speed.

According to Google, over 70,000 Americans and 205,000 worldwide have attained at least one certificate. 75% of these people receive benefits such as new jobs or higher wages within six months.

Each course, which were designed and offered by Google, costs students $39 per month. They take between three and six months to complete. Google is now covering costs for 500 employees at U.S. companies. It valued grants at $100,000, as workers can take between six and twelve months to complete.

Lisa Gevelber, founder of Grow with Google https://grow.google/certificatesforbusiness, the company unit overseeing certificates, said course completion rates are higher when people pay out of pocket but that the new offer was still worthwhile if it could help some businesses gain digital savvy.

You can also get certificates in IT support and project management. You can find them in all areas, as well as Google Ads services.
