House probe of Jan. 6 Capitol riot contacts GOP Reps. Jackson, Brooks, Biggs

Monday was the deadline for the House Select Committee to investigate the Jan. 6, Capitol Riot. It sent three letters asking Republican legislators to join the committee and give their knowledge about the attack.
According to the panel, it wants to askRep. Andy Biggs, Arizona about his role in the planning of the events leading to the Riot. A mob led by supporters of President Donald Trump stormed Capitol forcing members of Congress into hiding.
Another letterTo ask Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), to discuss his claimTrump requested that I rescind 2020’s elections.
The committee’s letterRep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) received text messages during the Riot from members of far-right militia group Oath Keepers. They urged Jackson to “need protection” as he has “critical data to protect”
They are looking forward to meeting with legislators next week. It is one month before the investigators will reveal their findings during a series of hearings.
