KYIV (Reuters – If conditions allow, the U.S. embassy plans to make a return visit to Kyiv at the end of May.

Nearly two weeks ago, U.S. diplomats left the Kyiv Embassy. Some functions were moved to Lviv in the west before they eventually relocated to Poland.

Kristina Kvien (charge d’affaires) stated that she listens to security personnel and when they say we can return, we will.

Some Western countries already have their embassies moved back to Kyiv, as Ukraine’s main focus has shifted to the east and southern regions.
