© Reuters. Bitcoin sees its largest outflow in one week since 2021- This week was the largest inflow week since June 20,21.
- One million dollars was withdrawn from the market for the week ended April 29.
- BTC’s price has fallen by about 15.97% in the past 30 days, despite its struggles.
The largest Bitcoin-related outflows since June 2021 was last week, when $133 million in Bitcoin (BTC), products were sold off by institutional investors.
The outflows for the week that ended on April 29 totaled $120.1 million, according to CoinShares’ Digital Asset Fund Flows report. Fortunately, there was an unexpected inflow around $38million for FTX Token products.
These figures brought April’s month-to-date Bitcoin outflows to $310.8 millions.
After a huge FUD about Tesla’s (NASDAQ:) decision to stop BTC payments for their cars, the last time Bitcoin had seen such large outflow numbers was June 2021. It was due to environmental concerns. China’s announcement of its crypto mining ban did no good for BTC.
CoinShares stated that the current bearish mood is not due to any clear reasons. However, it did highlight that “it is difficult to ascertain the precise reason for this other than the hawkish rhetoric from the US Federal Reserve and the recent price decline.”
BTC has been struggling a lot in the last 30 days. The price dropped about 15.97% to $38,792.36. Also, ETH has been experiencing some problems recently with outflows of $25 million.
CoinShares announced that total outflows month-to-date for all the products it tracked had reached $326.1million. Investors are willing to take on risks with cryptocurrency investments.
