Over 500 kg of cocaine found in coffee delivery for Nespresso -Breaking

REUTERS/Denis BalibouseZURICH, (Reuters) – More than 500 kilograms (1.102 lb. of cocaine) were discovered in a container containing coffee bean bags from Nestle’s Nespresso factory, Romont in west Switzerland. The discovery was made by the cantonal Police on Thursday.
Nespresso informed police that their staff found a white substance in coffee beans while loading them. The incident occurred Monday night. An analysis revealed that the substance was cocaine.Nespresso sent an email statement stating that “the substance in question was not in direct contact with any products of production equipment.”
The police are currently investigating the matter and we can’t share any more information. “We want to assure consumers that all of our products are safe for consumption,” said the manufacturer of single-serve coffee capsules.
