Elon Musk denies claim Trump encouraged him to buy Twitter

Elon Musk denied Friday that the former President had claimed to him. Donald TrumpTrump’s social media firm that he had supported Musk’s purchase bid Twitter.

Musk replied to the tweet, “This is false.” a New York Post article about that claim by Truth Media & Technology Group CEO Devin Nunes.

Musk, the founder of Musk said that there has been no contact with Trump. He had publicly declared that he would only be on Truth Social. TeslaSpaceX.

Nunes stated that Trump’s Truth Social social media app was all for Musk’s purchase during a Fox Business televised interview. Twitter and take it private with a $44 billion offer — a somewhat eyebrow-raising claim since Twitter is a competitor to Truth Social.

“President Trump actually bought it before Elon Musk did,” Nunes said during the appearance. Nunes is a former Republican Congressman from California.

Twitter barred Trump from the app in January 2021. He had been an obsessive Twitter user since the beginning of his addiction to the messaging app. The company stated that Trump was at “risk of inciting violence further.”

Following the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot, a mob made up of Trump supporters disrupted certification of President Joe Biden’s election.

Trump declared plans for Truth Social, a competitor of Twitter, last autumn. He also stated that his social media firm would be publicly traded by a deal with the “blank check” company. Digital World Acquisition Corp.

Twitter approved Musk’s April 25 offer to purchase the company. This is subject to approval by shareholders and regulators.

Nunes said that Trump’s purported urge to Musk to purchase Twitter was in line with Truth Social’s mission.

Nunes stated that Elon Musk was encouraged to purchase it because “someone has to keep fighting these tech tyrants.” Donald Trump was determined to ensure that Americans had a voice and the internet was accessible. That’s exactly what we do.

Nunes explained that “So people like Elon Musk do what he does, you know it’s definitely our favor,”

In late April, Trump told CNBC’s Joe KernenMusk would have to take over Twitter and reverse his ban. He said he will not be returning.

Trump said, “No, we won’t go back on Twitter.” Trump had almost 90 million followers at the time of Trump’s ban.

“I’ll be there on Truth Social in the next week. Everything is on time. Trump indicated that we have many sign-ups.

“I like Elon Musk. He is a great person. His character is exceptional. While I was at The White House, Twitter helped us a lot. Twitter treated me poorly. “I won’t go back to Twitter,” he stated.

According to statistics, Trump as president averaged eight tweets per days in the second half of 2017 and in the first half 2018 respectively. His average has increased steadily over the years. In his last year in office, Trump averaged 34 tweets per days before being removed.

Trump posted on Truth Social a so-called Truth or ReTruth post less than 30 times in two months. Most of these posts have been posted within the week.
