BRUSSELS/Reuters – A source within the EU said Friday that changes have been proposed by the European Commission to their plan to block Russian oil imports. This was in order to gain support from reluctant countries.

At a Friday meeting that starts at 0730 GMT, EU Envoys will discuss the revised proposal. It would provide for a 3-month transition period before the ban on Russian shipping to transport oil. This is instead of the original one-month. This would include investments in upgrading oil infrastructure to mitigate the effects of sanctions.
