The 10 best and worst states for working moms in 2022, according to new report


Women who have taken on professional or child-care responsibilities in the workplace and at work have suffered adverse consequences since the Covid-19 epidemic.

WalletHub is a website that provides personal financial advice. It compared the 50 US states to the District of Columbia on three dimensions.

There were 17 metrics that were considered, which included the child-care expenses, gender pay gap, parental leave policy score and parental care policies. The weightings for each of these metrics varied. Weighed averages were calculated for each state to get the total score.
