(Reuters] – California has asked solar companies, utilities, and others for their input in a lengthy process to reform its key rooftop solar incentive. This was disclosed by the state’s public utilities regulator in a Monday filing.

California Public Utilities Commission seeks additional input on a proposal that was issued last year and condemned by solar panel installers as an industry-killer.

In particular, they are asking for your feedback about whether or not solar panel owners should be able to fund low income assistance and energy efficiency programs. They also want to know whether you think they could qualify for an additional credit on top the credits they already receive for power exported.

The agency invites you to comment until June 10
