(Reuters) – Meta Platforms could reduce its funding for news organizations in order to reevaluate the relationships it made over the last few years. The Information reported Monday that Meta Platforms was considering this, citing sources familiar with the matter.

According to the report, social media company Facebook has observed that people are clicking less on news article links since Donald Trump’s departure.

The Instagram parent has yet to respond to a Reuters comment request.

Meta said last week that it is slowing its growth after recording the slowest revenue growth for a decade. Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg stated it will reduce costs.
