REUTERS/Brendan McDermiWASHINGTON (Reuters), – Amtrak USA, the passenger rail company said Monday that they are increasing train service to accommodate a busier summer season and increase demand.
Amtrak stated that it would operate approximately 80% pre-pandemic Northeast Regional train departures, which serve the Boston to Washington corridor. Amtrak will increase the speed of Acela trains, which cater to business travelers on the same route. It is also adding train services to other routes.
