(Reuters) – Ukraine’s loss of $170 million per day is due to its inability to access the sea, and the country’s export potential has been reduced by more than half. Prime Minister Denys Khmyhal stated Monday that this was the case.

Shmyhal, who was speaking with Charles Michel, President of the European Council, said that “Ninety-million tonnes of agricultural products, which Ukraine intended to export to countries of Asia, Africa and Europe have been blocked.”

Shmyhal claimed that certain produce has been exported via road or rail. However, some reserves were left in shelled areas or captured by Russia.
