AppleIt is ending the iPod touch, its last portable music player.

Apple’s announcement ended an era in digital music, which it began when it was first announced. introduced the iPod in 2001The 6.5-ounce, ultra-portable design fits into your pocket and can hold up to 1,000 CD-quality music.

2007 was the year that the iPod Touch’s original version, more like the iPhone, came out. Version 2.2 was introduced in 2019.

While the $199 iPod Touch can make and receive iMessages, as well as place FaceTime calls, it can’t take phone calls. Apple Senior Vice-President of Worldwide Marketing Greg Joswiak declared that the iPod’s spirit lives on through all of its products with music-playing functions.

Apple has stated the iPod touch will not be sold out until supplies run out.
