Investors think unlikely Musk buys Twitter at agreed $44 billion price -Breaking

(Reuters) – Tuesday’s stock market view was the first to suggest that Elon Musk is unlikely to acquire. Twitter Inc (NYSE:) For $44 Billion, As He Originally Designed.

Based on Twitter shares hitting $46.75, the implied probability that the deal would close at this price dropped below half-way, based on the purchase price of $54.20 and Twitter’s share closing price at $39.31 April 1 (the last day trading before Musk announced that he owned a stake).

Musk is the richest man in the world and the CEO of Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:) Inc. On April 25, he signed a deal for the acquisition of the social media site. Twitter reported at that time that Musk had secured $25.5 Billion in debt financing, margin loans and equity funding and was offering a $21 Billio commitment.

Forbes estimates Musk’s net worth at $268 billion.
