(Reuters) -U.S. retail including Target Walgreens Boots Alliance, CVS Health Corporation (NYSE) and Corp (NYSE) stated Tuesday that they are limiting their purchases of baby formula because there is a shortage.

CVS sent an email statement stating that they had reduced online and in-store orders to only three last month. Walgreens placed a similar limit in March.

Grocer Kroger (NYSE) limits customers to four products, while Target places restrictions on online shopping for several weeks.

Abbott last month announced that limited amounts of the nutrition products it had held back due to recalls would be released. No formula has ever been found to be contaminated with bacteria.

On Tuesday, the company didn’t immediately reply to our request for comment.
