Poland to propose new help for savers, says PM -Breaking

WARSAW, (Reuters) – Poland will offer new assistance to savers over the next few days. The Polish Prime Minister said this on Tuesday without providing further information. He also criticised banks for their inability to raise deposit rates.

Mateusz Morawiecki said at a news conference that “when there is increasing inflation, the central bank raises interest rates which leads to very large profits for financial institution…the inability to split these profits with a citizens – such behaviour is unacceptable”.
