Alameda and Coinbase back African exchange MARA, which is looking at continental opportunities

East Africa will soon welcome a cryptocurrency exchange that is backed by industry giants who want to reach a large number of users.

Alameda Research and Huobi Ventures have all contributed $23 Million to the launch of MARA. New users will have access to a basic platform that allows them to buy, trade, and withdraw cryptocurrency.
