(Reuters) – Ford Motor (NYSE) Co purchased 8 million shares in electric carmaker Rivian Automobil Inc for $214million, or $26.80 per share, according to a Tuesday filing.
Ford now holds 93.9 million shares in the California-headquartered company.
Rivian’s shares fell to a new record on Monday, after CNBC reported that the sale occurred over the weekend.
