BUDAPEST (Reuters – The Hungarian rate-setters voted unanimously in favor of raising the base rate 100 basis points to 5.4%, according to the minutes.
The Monetary Council stated, “The Monetary Council will continue the cycle interest rate rises until the outlook of inflation stabilizes around the central bank target” and that inflation risks become evenly balanced on an horizon of monetary policy.
