(Reuters) – Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:) on Wednesday appointed Thibaut Mongon as the chief executive officer of the consumer health division, which the pharmaceutical giant plans to spin off into a listed company by the end of next year.

Nov. saw the largest global health products firm announce it would split off its consumer-health division, which sells Listerine and Baby Powder. This will allow for a greater focus on drugs and medical devices.

After joining the company as a 2000 employee, Mongon is currently the worldwide chairperson of Mongon’s executive vice president for consumer health.

J&J also appointed the chief financial officer of the consumer health business Paul Ruh as the CFO of the upcoming entity.

The company stated that the transition of leadership would take place after separation, which should occur within 2023. However, this is subject to legal requirements.
