(Reuters) – Moderna (NASDAQ) Inc stated on Wednesday that Jorge Gomez has been appointed as chief financial officer. This was after Dentsply Sirona Inc, his ex-employer, disclosed an internal inquiry into financial reporting.

Gomez was appointed in April. It went into effect Monday. Moderna claimed that Gomez left Tuesday.

Moderna has announced that David Meline (recently retired as CFO) will resume the position.

Gomez will be paid $700,000.000 in salary over 12 months. He also forfeits his sign bonus and eligibility for bonus.
