HONG KONG, (Reuters) – Barclays (LON) Hossein Zaimi, who had previously worked at rival HSBC for many years, was appointed head of Asia Pacific markets.

Zaimi will be located in Hong Kong. He reports to Adeel Khan (co-heads Barclays global market business), and Stephen Dainton (head of Barclays Asia Pacific), a statement stated.

Zaimi worked for HSBC more than 17 years and was the most recent global head of equities as well as global co-head of Securities Financing.
