Investing.com – India stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

NSE closed with the index falling 2.14% and the index dropping 2.22%.

These were the best performers of the session Wipro Ltd (NS:) rose by 0.40%, or 1.90 points, to close at 473.80. Meanwhile, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (NS:) fell 0.10% or 4.05 points to end at 3,880.00 and Tata Consultancy Services In late trade, Ltd. (NS 🙂 fell 0.10% to 3,408.65

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (NS:) were the worst-performing session participants, falling 6.13% or 46.60 point to trade at 713.30 by the end. IndusInd Bank Ltd., NS:), declined by 5.79% (53.45 points) to close at 869.90 Tata Steel Ltd (NS) fell 4.12%, or 48.00 points, to 1,117.70

The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Wipro Ltd (BO:) which rose 0.91% to 475.50, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (BO:) which was down 0.05% to settle at 3,884.20 and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (BO:) which lost 0.06% to close at 3,411.00.

IndusInd Bank Ltd.. (BO :), which fell 5.82% to $869.45 late trade, Tata Steel Ltd.(BO 🙂 that lost 4.13% and settled at 1,118.15 at close, and Bajaj Finance Ltd.. (BO 🙂 dropped 3.76% towards 5,588.00 by the close.

The India National Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing by 1498, 353 and 16, respectively. 16 of these ended unchanged. On the Bombay Stock Exchange 2523 were lost and 725 gained, and 85 finished unchanged.

The implied volatility index of Nifty50 options was at 6.41% higher than the previous 1-month peak, and reached 24.26.

The June delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 0.35%, or 6.40, to $1.847.30 per troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil fell by 1.88 or 1.78% to $103.83 per barrel. The July Brent oil contract dropped 1.80% to $105.58 per barrel.

USD/INR decreased 0.03%, to 77.40. EUR/INR declined 0.7% to 80.77.

At 104.46, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.56%.
