WASHINGTON (Reuters] – U.S. Senate Republican Leadership Mitch McConnell announced on Thursday that the Senate should pass a new aid package to Ukraine, following approval by the House of Representatives for $40 billion for Kyiv.

“I support the House’s next lethal military aid package, which was passed by a large bipartisan majority. The Senate should reach an agreement today to review and approve this legislation. It is vital for the Ukrainian people. He said it on the Senate’s floor.
